Harrisburg, PA – The Democracy Defense Foundation Pennsylvania board has released the following statement on the results of the 2026 general election.
“We congratulate all of the candidates who won on Election Day. We recognize the effort it takes to run for office and the honor that comes with serving. We wish every incoming and returning official the best as they lead Pennsylvania forward in the years ahead.”
“We also thank Pennsylvania’s dedicated election workers, poll workers and county election officials for running a free, fair, safe and secure election. Our elections could not happen without them.”
“While the day was not without it’s challenges, from rural counties to our largest cities, these officials ran exacting, professional operations. They verified registrations, secured mail-in ballots and protected voting machines under state and federal law, so every eligible voter could cast a ballot without fear or favor. We as Pennsylvanian’s should be proud of their efforts.”
