Arizona Democracy Defense Foundation Statement Regarding Confidence in Primary Election

Phoenix, AZ— Arizona Democracy Defense Foundation board members Governor Jan Brewer, Congressman Matt Salmon, former State Rep. Daniel Hernandez and Yuma County Supervisor Jonathan Lines issued the following statement regarding confidence in Arizona’s election system prior to the Primary Election tomorrow:

“Tomorrow, thousands of Arizonans across the state will exercise their constitutional right to vote along with many who voted early over the past few weeks. Critical decisions made tomorrow will set the tone for the November election.

“We are confident in the county boards of supervisors, recorders, election workers, and volunteers who manage and oversee our local elections. Their professionalism and dedication to creating a safe and secure election is greatly appreciated.

“We hope Arizonans will ignore recent efforts to resurrect the unfounded and ludicrous claims made by those who are unhappy with previous election results. Losing an election does not equate to fraud. Countless audits and lawsuits have confirmed this finding. For those who are victorious tomorrow and those who come up short, we hope you proceed with grace and accept the will of the voters.”
